David Skeid April 10, 1990 – February 25, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that we the Skeid family announce the passing of David Skeid on February 25, 2019 at the age of 28. David was predeceased by his grandparents Joe and Lila Skeid, uncles George Skeid, Michael Jet Skeid, Joseph Skeid Jr. and Simon Skeid, grandparents Albert and Eliza Halverson, uncles Billy Halverson, Johnny Halverson, Edward Halverson, aunties Elsie Thompson, Mary Jane McDougall (Nee Halverson) and Irene Halverson. David is survived by his sons Colin Morrison and Klay Skeid, former spouse Shyanne Morrison, former spouse Kayla Assin and current partner Marissa Muckle. Also left to mourn are his parents Marie Skeid and Dennis Halverson, brothers Eddie Skeid (Candy), Marvin, Barrie, Bryan, Elycia, Jessie, Jenna and Shane, brothers Dennis Skeid (Myra) and children Jason and Lucas, sister in law Jennifer and her children Ben and Felicity, sister Pam Wilson (Sharif), brother Sammy Skeid (Elaine) and their children Damian, Darius, Serenity, Samara, Favian and Lil Sammy, brother Danny Skeid (Amanda) and their children Ronin, Shayne and Tyrell, brother Greg Shingoose, sister in law Cindy Pahpasay and family, first cousin Peter Bird and family and cousin Daryle Halverson (Claudie), uncle Gordon Halverson and family, uncle Albert Halverson and family, Auntie Irene and family, the Fox family, the Skeid family in Sagkeeng and Sherman Kabestra and family, Everson family, Skead family, as well as many childhood friends and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and family friends too numerous to mention. David loved commercial fishing, hunting, playing guitar, music, he enjoyed cooking for those who came to visit and other hobbies. He was always a good helper and also loved sports and spending time with family. David loved spending time with good friends too numerous to mention. The pallbearers will be Gavin Skead, Ernie Delaronde Jr., Jessie Paypompee, Shayne Paypompee, Dakota Seymour, Lucas Martel and Donny Fairfield. Wake Service will begin on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rat Portage Community Hall. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Rat Portage Community Hall with interment to follow at Bald Indian Bay Cemetery.
