George Hibbs It is with heavy hearts that we lay to rest our beloved George Hibbs. He passed away peacefully at Lake of the Woods District Hospital on November 15th 2018 with family by his side. He will be missed by his family and left behind his wife of 57 years Kathleen Hibbs, and his four children Gina Harvey (Dan Prevost), Michael Hibbs (Sheree Hibbs), Tina Hibbs (David Pencoff), Donna Rowan (Gerald Rowan). He also left behind eight grandchildren, Jason, Christine (Joshua), Matthew, Justin, Keely, Elizabeth, Aimee, Anastastia and one great grandchild Ayla. George was predeceased by his mother Violet Hibbs and father Clarence Hibbs and left behind his younger siblings Hubert Hibbs (Marie), Elaine Boyd (Willis), Malcolm Hibbs (Judy) ,Clarence Hibbs (Geraldine) and so many nieces and nephews too numerous to list. George served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 23 years as a Sergeant and worked 25 years with PPG and retired at age 65 and moved to Kenora Ontario where he built his dream home on Black Sturgeon Lake where he resided until he passed. There will be a Celebration of Life for George on his Birthday May 25, 2019 at 1:00pm. The service will be held at The Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre in Kenora Ontario with a time and place for luncheon to follow.
