Isabel Ulak

Isabel Louise Ulak July 11, 1930 – February 18, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isabel Louise Ulak on February 18, 2019 at the age of 88. Isabel had just moved to Pinecrest Home for the Aged to be with her husband, Marion. She is survived by her husband, Marion of 57 years, her son Sam (Evy), nephews Alec and David (Sharon) and niece Mary (Tim). Her two grandchildren, David and Isabel were the apples of her eye and they will miss her dearly. Her sister, Trudy Danko, is her last remaining sibling. There are also numerous relatives and friends that were dear to her. Isabel was predeceased by her parents, John and Katherine Strecker, her sisters Mary, Minnie and Margaret and her brothers, John and Stan. Isabel was born July 11, 1930 in Kenora. She became a teacher and thought in Elementary Schools in Kenora until she retired to her and Marion’s camp on Island Lake. Isabel travelled throughout Canada, Florida and France but happily returned to Kenora her favourite place. Her thoughtfulness and generosity were felt by family and friends alike. She will forever be cherished in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Pinecrest Home for the Aged.
