Janet Gail Belair

In Loving Memory of Janet Belair Peacefully and surrounded by love, Janet Belair passed from this world April 4, 2019. Beloved daughter of Rachel and Kenneth Belair and sister to Kerry Belair and Aunt to Brooklyn. Janet was predeceased by her father Kenneth, grandparents Francois and Emma Cote and many Aunts and Uncles. Janet was born in Kenora on July 11, 1956 and spent her childhood with her family till 1968 when she moved to Thunder Bay. In 1992, she returned from Hogarth Hospital, back to Kenora. Janet lived within her community with supports until her passing. She loved talking to her mother on the phone every day, Bell Ringers, life-long learning at the Adult Literacy Centre, community art projects at the Arts Hub, swimming at the Rec Centre and being out regularly. She loved the sun on her face especially if she could throw her hat as far away from her as possible. We will miss Janet and remember her for her very serious look and eyes that pierced right to our hearts. Janet’s family wish to share their gratitude for the compassionate and dedicated health care professionals. Janet’s family also want to acknowledge the outstanding care and assistance from her support team that cared deeply for her throughout the years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Earl Johnson officiating with interment to follow at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
