Roy Fobister November 15, 1959 – January 4, 2019 Clan – Sturgeon Roy Fobister – a resident of Grassy Narrows First Nation passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Mary L. Fobister and Alex Fobister, his sister Virginia Fobister, brothers Dennis and Ricky Fobister. He is survived by his children Burton Land, Valarie Land, Olivia Land, Mitchell Fobister, Farrah Fobister and their families, brother’s Harry Fobister and Norman Fobister, uncle’s Bill Fobister and John Fobister, auntie’s Josephine Fobister and Evelyn Pahpasay, cousins Joe Fobister, Bridgette Fobister, Gabe Jr. Fobister, Randy Fobister, Elaine White, Helen Fobister and their families. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Roseanna Fobister, Nora Ann Fobister, Parker Strong, Leona Strong, Trisha Land, Leonard Land, Denise Land and their families. Roy liked fishing, visiting his friends and family, helping out community members and going to church. Roy was a happy, funny outgoing person who liked to joke around. Wake service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Agnes Fishers Church beginning at 11:00 am. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Agnes Fishers Church at 1:30pm with burial to follow.
