Esmeralda Valdez Garza

Esmeralda was born in Michoacan, Mexico on January 19, 1947 to Jacinto and Esmeralda Garza. She was a high spirited social bug that was devoted to her family. She took care of her parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Esmeralda passed away peacefully on June 27, 2019. Esmeralda was preceded in death by her parents; Jacinto and Esmeralda, her infant son Ramiro Pruneda and her infant daughter Petra Pruneda. She is survived by her children; Odilio “Junior” Pruneda of Kerman, Lydia Cedillo of Fresno, and Tina Chavez and her husband Jason of Madera, her brothers; Genoveo Garza, Jacinto Garza and his wife Janie, Abel Garza and wife Yolanda, Enrique Garza and wife Cathy and Ruben Garza, and her sister Delia Garza. Esmeralda also leaves behind her grandchildren; Jason Chavez II, Felicia Chavez, Juliarose Cedillo, Marcus Cedillo, Breanna Pruneda, and Terry Wayne Pruneda, and five great-granchildren. Visitation will be held at St. Patricks Church on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. A Rosary will be at St. Patricks Church on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. A Mass will be held at St. Patricks Church on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
