Marvin Neal Jr.

Marvin Neal, Jr. was born March 28, 1952 in Gay, Georgia to the late Elder Marvin Neal, Sr. and the late Corrie C. Neal. He was the 7th child of 8 children. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bershawn Neal; brothers, Leroy Neal and Joseph Simon. Marvin was educated in the Meriwether County School System. He was employed with Southern Mill for several years. Marvin enjoyed playing the guitar. He loved planting gardens and growing his own vegetables. Marvin loved spending time with his family. Marvin was a strong man with a humble spirit as well as a man of few words, but outspoken when necessary. You never knew when something bothered him. During the time of his illness Marvin never complained about anything. He fought a good fight. Marvin was a believer in The Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and Saviour. The Lord called him on to Glory October 16, 2019. He will surely be missed by his family and everyone that knew him. He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Rico Rodregus Neal; two grandchildren, Royal Anyah Neal and Rico Rodregus Neal, Jr.; two brothers, Rev. Willie C. Neal (Joann), Bishop Bobby L. Neal (Evelyn); four sisters, Evangelist Dorothy Favors (Luther), Bernell Neal, Margaret Neal Solomon and Mary L. Neal; other siblings, Shelia Simon, Marion Keith, Curtis Hall, Jimmy Hall, Wylene Hall and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Mt. Venus Church in Gay, GA. The family will gather prior to the service from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the church.
