IN THE CARE OF
Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes
Evelyn Pearl Lamb.
Birth: 28 June 1928. Death: 18 October 2019.
A youthful transplant from Tennessee, Mrs. Lamb lived the remainder of her life in Lansing, Michigan. Evelyn worked at J.C. Penny, the Lansing State Journal, where she retired from, and joined her husband, Harmon Ray Lamb, at the family business, B&H Industries.
She is survived by a Michigan family: son Douglas (Kim) and grandchildren Joshua (Heidi) and Melissa (Jason) and great-grandchildren Evie, Broderick, Maya, Corbin, Damin, Isak, and Avery.
Her Oklahoma family includes son David (Jana) and grandchildren Daniel (Kristen), Carrie, Bethany, and great-grandchildren Corbin, McKenna, Keith, and Wyatt.
Evelyn had a splendid marriage to husband Harmon who preceded her in death on 1 March 2001.
Mrs. Lamb's passions were family, church, home (she was a stickler for details), and a garden full of flowers she tended well. One granddaughter commented, "Grandmother's hands always felt like satin and smelled like perfume." Fitting words.
Funeral arrangements by Gorsline Runciman in Lansing. Viewing at 1 p.m. followed by burial at Evergreen cemetery on Thursday, 24 October 2019.
