Marika Hajek

Suddenly at University Hospital Marika passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec 5th in her 87th year. She was born in Maglod, Hungary and immigrated to Canada in 1957 with her husband Frank. She is survived by her niece Eszter Dienes (Bela) of Toronto, nephew Ferenc Figuli (Jona, Franky) of Guelph and Eduard Nagy (Anita), Omama to Edward and Patrick. She was the owner/operator of the Budapest Restaurant for over 61 years. She touched many people’s hearts with her generosity and kindness. Visitation with be held at Needham Funeral Service at 520 Dundas St from 2-4 and 5-7 pm on December 9, 2018. Funeral mass to be held in the Chapel @ 11.00 am on Monday Dec 10th. Interment to follow at St Peter’s Cemetery. We would like to give a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses on 7th for the care they gave her. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke or St Stephen Church of Hungary Hungarian Catholic Community would be appreciated.
