OBITUARY

Dale Sacksteder

March 3, 1938June 6, 2019

Dale Sacksteder, 81, of Louisville, passed away June 6, 2019. He was retired from Pepperidge Farm after 45 years of service. He was a member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Male High School Alumni Association, Louisville Street Rods Association, and was an avid fisherman and diehard UofK Wildcats fan.

Dale was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell and Jerry Sacksteder; and sister, Virginia Springs. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Sandra; children, Robin Shelton(Kim), Timothy Sacksteder, and Tammy McNeill(Clay); grandchildren, Chris Pitelko, Santana Thompson, and Brynnan McNeill; brother, Gene Sacksteder(Marian); and many lifelong friends.

Funeral service will be 12 noon Monday, June 10, 2019 at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1pm – 5pm Sunday. Memorial donations can be made to Hosparus of Louisville or American Heart Association. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Hosparus team of Christina, Janice, Liz, and Adam for their exceptional care.

Sandra, Tammy - I am so sorry for the passing of Dale. I was fortunate to have met and known such a kind and gentle man and also a very interesting person. I enjoyed making him laugh. He loved his family so very much - you were his universe.
