Obituary of Liz Whelan
Whelan, Evelyn Elizabeth, 87, passed away June 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Whelan; parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Burton; 4 siblings; and one grandchild. Left to cherish her memory are her 9 children, Lois Whiteley (Darrell), Charlie Whelan (Lisa), Pat Whelan (Pam), Rita Warren (Danny), Rose Newton (Bob), Tresa Carnforth (Richard), Debbie Reynolds (Terry), Jo Catlett (John), and Sheila Renn; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 2 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 pm-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Liz may be made to Wesley Manor, Aldersgate Community, 5012 East Manslick Road, Louisville, KY 40219.
