Obituary of Charles L Rando
Mr. Charles L. “Charlie” Rando, 73, of Danvers passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House with his family at his side following a brief illness. He was the husband of Priscilla A. (Clinch) Rando with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Charlie was born May 21, 1945 in Lynn, he was the son of the late Francis W. and Mary A. (O’Leary) Rando. He was a resident of Danvers for the past 51 years and previously resided in Lynn. Charlie was a graduate of Lynn English High School Class of 1962. He went on to further his education at Salem State University where he received his Bachelors degree in Mathematics as well as his Master Degree in Mathematics. Charlie was a Math Teacher, he taught at the Marblehead School Department for 22 years until his retirement. After retiring Charlie owned and operated the North Shore Tours Bus Company for many years. He returned to teaching and was the head of the Math department at Alton, NH schools. Charlie enjoyed spending time with his loving family, he enjoyed taking his daughters to their home in Davenport, FL. He also enjoyed the family home’s in Moultonborough and Alton New Hampshire. In addition to his wife Priscilla, Charlie is survived by his two daughters Karin Rando of Boxford and Cynthia Rando of League City, TX, his mother-in-law Ruth (Morse) Clinch of Danvers, his grandson Daniel Charles Rando, his brother-in-law Douglas Clinch and his wife Cheryl of Lynnfield. He is also survived by his aunt Concetta Rando of Danvers as well as his nieces Dianna Thomas, Allison and Valerie Clinch. He was the brother of the late Francis W. “Billy” Rando, Jr. Charlie’s visiting hours will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 4-7 PM. His Funeral Service will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House 78 Liberty St. Danvers, MA 01923.
