Arthur Henry Hallam went to be with our Lord early Sunday morning, May 26, 2019. His wife of 50 years, Joan was by his side. Arthur was born on September 3, 1936, in Baltimore, MD to parents Rev. Eugene Hallam and Dorothea Hallam. He is survived by his wife, Joan Puso Hallam of Marble Falls, TX, a sister Dorothea (Dottie) Hallam Finatri of Chicago, IL area and sister-in-law Jean Mattessich of Cape Coral, FL. Arthur, or Art as he was known by friends and church family, attended Bethany College graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1955 and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1966. He worked for RCA in Camden, NJ before joining the Federal Communications Commission in 1962. While working in New Orleans, LA, Art met and married Joan Puso on January 25, 1969. Arthur and Joan lived in Louisiana, Florida and Maine before he retired from the FCC and they moved to Marble Falls, TX where they have enjoyed the Hill Country for the last 22 years. Art was an avid HAM radio operator since the age of 12 and selected their homesite at a high point in Marble Falls based on installing his radio tower. He was active for years in the Highland Lakes Amateur Radio Club. Art and Joan enjoyed traveling extensively through the States as well as internationally and connected with HAM operators all over the world. Arthur, a lifelong Episcopalian, and wife Joan have been members of Trinity Episcopal Church. Joan continues to be surrounded by the love and comfort of their church family and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity. A private interment will be held on Monday, June 3, at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, TX with a memorial service to be held in a few weeks at Trinity Episcopal Church in Marble Falls.
