Kenneth Gifford, Jr. “Skip” passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the age of 71. Born May 3, 1948 to the late Kenneth Gifford, Sr. and Audrey Leidinger. Skip was a police officer for the state of Louisiana who retired after 32 years of dedicated service. He also admirably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Devoted husband of Tammy Gomez Gifford. Proud father of Rick Barton (Monica) and James Gifford. Beloved stepfather of Rochelle Guidry (JonRoss), David Lewis (Jenna) and the late Ryan Lewis. Loving grandfather of Joci Troumbley (Ty), Jordin Carlisle (Jared), Kaylee Guidry and Kamryn Guidry. Great grandfather of Parker Jaye Carlisle. Brother of Charles Gifford (Peggy), Stephen Gifford, Sr. (Miriam), Earl “Jody” Leidinger, Jr. (Cheri) and Elizabeth Leidinger Lewis (Alan). All funeral arrangements are being handled by Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana.
