June Evelyn Krotzer (91) passed away on April 20, 2019 at The Friendship Village Health Care Center in Tempe, Az. Mrs. Krotzer was born June Evelyn Pedersen in Cordova, Alaska on June 12, 1927. She spent her early childhood on a fox farm on Fairmount Island in Prince William Sound, Alaska.
Mrs. Krotzer was a retired civil service employee who started her career working for the Alaska Road Commission while still in high school in Valdez, Alaska. She retired from Ft. Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Az. She and her late husband Bill enjoyed Square and Round Dancing. She enjoyed traveling to her home state of Alaska, as well as other locations in the US, and Denmark, the birthplace of her father. She avidly kept journals of her travels and of her parents' travels that brought them to the US from Scandinavia.
Mrs. Krotzer was preceded in death by her parents Peder Christian (Chris) Pedersen and Beta Kristina (Nyberg) Pedersen, and late husband William (Bill) Krotzer. She is survived by sons Walter (Louise) Winger, James (Sandy) Winger, and step-daughters Karen Bowman and Brenda Krotzer, grandchildren Linda (Scott) Feltheim, Christy Miceli, Laura Winger and Mark Winger, and great grandchildren David and Anna Feltheim and Matthew Miceli.
