William Benny Ennis

William Benny Ennis, 75, of Monroe passed away on May 3, 2019. He was born in Charlotte on June 7, 1943 to the late Boyce and Ruby Ennis. Benny was a technician for Charlotte Plastics for over 30 years. He was a huge Tar Heels Fan and also enjoyed fishing, drag racing and working at the car wash – but most of all he loved his time with family and friends. Benny is predeceased by his loving wife, Frieda Lyvonne Ennis and brother, Julian Ennis. He is survived by his sons, Troy (Angie) Ennis and Chris (Debbie) Ennis; grandchildren, Greg, Zach (Kasey), Brittney and Kendall Ennis; great-grandchildren, Micah Ennis and Savannah Willis; brothers, Joe, Ralph (Helen) and Mickey Ennis; sister-in-law, Lou Vonne Ennis and numerous nieces and nephews, all who loved him dearly. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8 from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at Lakeland Memorial Park. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is serving the Ennis family.
