Stefanie Derec

Passed away on September 5, 2019 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson decease. Stephanie will be missed by her husband of 63 years, Mihajlo (Misa), her son Michael (Miki), daughter-in-law Paula Cordeau, her 3 cherished grandsons, Stefan, Anton, Kristof, and extended family and friends. Born in Babanovac, Yugoslavia into a family of 8 siblings, Stephanie came to Canada with her husband and young son in 1968. She will be fondly remembered by everyone who met her. Stephanie touched all with her kind, loving, helpful nature. She took an early retirement and helped raise her grandsons in their formative years. They fondly will remember their “ Baka”. Visitation will take place at the Collins Clarke funeral home, 5610 Sherbrooke St. W. Saturday, September 14th, starting 11:30am followed by a short service at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. If friends and family wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada.
