Michael Richard Royse

Michael Richard Royse, age 61, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Thursday morning, August 22, 2019 at his sister's home. He was the son of Shelba J. "Jean" Brown Royse and the late Perry Richard Royse. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Shannon R. Royse (Chris) of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Patricia Royse Mingle (Wendell) of Murfreesboro and Tamara L. Royse (Colleen) of Madison; brother, William T. Royse (Linda) of New Oxford, Pennsylvania; and nephews, Thomas M. Mingle and Johnathan P. Mingle both of Murfreesboro. Services to celebrate Michael will be at One Thirty the afternoon of Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Friends are cordially invited to visitation also Saturday from Eleven Thirty till the service begins at One Thirty. Placement will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Field of Honor near his father. Michael worked as a chef and Licensed Practical Nurse most of his life. He was an excellent cook and worked at several country clubs. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a Navy brat, having lived in Rhode Island, Virginia, California and South Carolina.
