Mr. Robert "Bob" James Clark

Robert "Bob" James Clark JUNE 27, 1935 – AUGUST 1, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Robert James Clark on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Bob is survived and forever missed by wife Mel; children Chris (Sandy), Jeremy (Joanna) and Caralyn (Greg); grandchildren Alex and Lauren; siblings Richard (Connie) and Margaret. Born in Casper, Wyoming to James and Hilda Clark, Bob emigrated to Canada in 1948. He graduated in 1968 from the University of Alberta with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, he worked for Imperial Oil and lived in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Saigon Vietnam, and Toronto before moving to West Vancouver in 1972. Bob was recognized in the West Vancouver community for his countless hours of volunteering with numerous organizations, most recently the Seniors’ Activity Centre and the Kiwanis North Shore Housing Society. He enjoyed hiking in the mountains, dancing and travelling with Mel, his wife of 57 years, and spending time with family and friends. We who were blessed to call him Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Friend will miss his kindness, his endless patience, his generosity, his twinkling eyes and wonderful, mischievous sense of humour. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 3pm at West Vancouver United Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the North Shore Hospice and Palliative Care Society, Kiwanis North Shore Housing Society or the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre.
