Eloise Snipes Hembree

Eloise Snipes Hembree age 80 of Coker, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at home. She was preceded in death by her father Elbert Richman Snipes; mother Wilma Barrentine Dunn Honeycutt; stepmother Mary “Mame” Snipes; sisters Carolyn Snipes Allen and Mary Snipes: brother Ricky Snipes; Step-Father Monroe Dunn and niece Leisa Kay Allen. Ms. Hembree is survived by her husband of 62 years Arnold Archie Hembree; sons Ronald Hembree and Danny Arnold Hembree (Belinda); sisters Martha Frances Dunn Akin and Brenda Snipes; brother Neal Snipes; grandchildren Kindeth Hembree Martin (Bobby) and Lawson Riley Hembree; great granddaughter Kerighan Lyn Hembree; and many nieces and nephews. Eloise was a dedicated loving wife and mother, great friend and neighbor. She graduated from Gorgas High School class of 1958. She was a faithful member of Coker Cumberland Prysbeterian Church. She was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers will be Lawson Hembree, Bobby Martin III, Kenneth Strickland, Jimmy Woods, Calvin Liverman, and Chad Burnett. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Amedisys Home Health, Members of Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Dr. Debra Davis and staff, Sherry St Clair and the graduating class of Gorgas High School 1958. The family will receive friends Saturday October 5, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church designated to Mothers of preschoolers ministry or Celebrate Recovery ministry.
