John Welch

John Leonard “ Lenny” Welch of Norwich passed away peacefully on October 3 2019. He was born on March 6 1948 to the late Charles “Dicky” Welch and the late Gertrude Piacenza. Lenny bravely served on the front lines of Vietnam in 1967 and 1968 for the United States Marine Corp. Lenny will be remembered fondly for his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He was an avid Patriots fan always cheering on his favorite team and he loved fishing. Lenny is survived and will be missed by his brother Gary Brouilette, his sister Yena Turco, sister Teena Ryan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 17th at 10am at St. Joseph Cemetery, 815 Boswell Av., Norwich, CT. Military Honors will be rendered. There are no calling hours.
