June Diacumski

NORWICH - June Vivian Diacumski, 93, passed away on Monday, August 19th, 2019. June was born on April 1, 1926 in Old Town Maine, the daughter of the late Reginald and Emelia (Daigle) Pelkey. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a communicant of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Backus Hospital. She lived at Chase Manor in Norwich for 32 years assisting in organizing bus trips and bingo games for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the casino and sitting with friends for a good chat and storytelling. The most important part of June’s life was time spent with family. June is survived by her three sons and their wives; Gary and Linda Diacumski of Riverside, RI, Steven and Darlene Diacumski of North Franklin, Brian and Lisa Orowson of Norwich, her sister; Doreen McGuire of Florida, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters; Gail Collier and Bonnie Delmore, and her brothers; Roderick and Kenneth Pelkey. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
