Peggy Joyce Melton

Peggy Joyce Melton, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, with her sons by her side at Baptist Reynolds Hospice in Collierville, Tn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Velma Mitchell, and her husband, Dewey Oneal Melton. Peggy is survived by her brother, Keifer Mitchell; two sons, Dennis Melton, Greg Melton and his wife, Beth, and her granddaughter, Lauren Melton. Peggy and her husband Oneal were long time faithful members of Longview Baptist Church of Olive Branch, MS. The family suggest that in lieu of flowers donations in Mrs Melton’s name be made to Longview Baptist Church or to St Jude’s research hospital. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. A reception will follow at Longview Heights Baptist Church. A graveside service will take place Monday, July 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Park Southwoods, 5485 Hacks Cross Rd, Memphis, TN.
