Maria Docimo

DOCIMO, Maria (Oct 28th, 1932 – Dec 1st, 2018) Passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Saturday, December 1st, 2018, at the age of 86. Maria was born in Rose, Cosenza, Italy on October 28th, 1932. In 1959 Maria, with her two children Pasquale and Rosina immigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia and travelled to Oshawa, Ontario to join her husband. She worked diligently as a homemaker, hosting boarders and was a supervisor for 25 years at Joe Seto Farms in Whitby until retirement. Predeceased by her husband Luigi of 67 years. She is survived by her children Pasquale, Rosina, Nina and Frank (Laurie), brothers Giachino, Francesco, sister Annina, grandchildren Frank, Stephanie (Paul), Kristy and Travis, and great granddaughter Harper. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, December 7th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Prayer Friday at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa on Saturday, December 8th at 1:30 p.m. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.oshawafuneralhome.com
