Catherine Elizabeth O'Connor

Catherine Elizabeth “Bette” O'Connor (nee Walsh) passed away peacefully at home, with her daughter Helen at her side. Mom had been surrounded by all of her children, many relatives and devoted caregivers in her last days. Mom was predeceased by her dear husband, John, of 56 years. She was the cherished mother to Mary (Ken Glofcheskie), Bill (Deborah Everley) and Helen; loving grandmother of William, Liam and Lina and great grandmother of Sarah and Rachel; and much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Fr. James Walsh, Fergus (Eileen), Mary (George) and John (Isabel). Bette will be remembered for her laughter, bridge and parties, but most especially, for her unconditional love for everyone. The family extends our deepest gratitude to Dr. Lisa Cross and members of her Palliative Care Team, and to mom's devoted Personal Support Workers for their compassionate care. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's Parish, 100 Young Street (at Bayswater) on Saturday, December 1 at 2 pm.
