Fadwa Saïd (née Assi) (January 14, 1944 – February 4, 2019) Fell peacefully into the Hands of The Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the New Orchard Lodge in Ottawa. Beloved daughter of the late Salim Assi and the late Saada El-Khoury. Loving wife of John Saïd. Step-mother of Albert and Norman Saïd and loving grandmother to their children. Much loved sister of George (Maria El-Asmar) of Ottawa; the late Fares (Siham Saikaly), the late Joseph (Marie Makhoul), Leila (Joseph Dagher) and Maroun (Sawsan Al Ghazal), all of Lebanon. Dear sister-in-law to Nick Saïd (Jamal Anbar), Late George Saïd (Laurence). Cherished Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She will be dearly missed by everyone. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home , 1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Saint Charbel Parish Ottawa, Maronite Catholic Church, 245 Donald St. In memoriam, donations may be made to Saint Charbel Maronite Church or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
