Obituary of Carmella Yvette Nichols
Carmella Yvette Nichols was born October 12, 1974, to Lovie and Eugene Nichols, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of four children. Carmella attended Lane Technical High School in Chicago, IL. Later she attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. She decided years later to go back to school and receive her Cosmetology License. Carmella was married to Jamie Hargrove, May 16, 2014. Carmella as a young girl loved church. She would spend many hours playing church with her cousins and brother. She would sing, shout and her brother would preach. Those were memories they always laughed about and cherished. Carmella was born and raised as a member of Old Landmark C.O.G.H.I.C. This is were she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Later she moved to Florida and became a member of Vital Church in Oviedo, Florida. She was faithful to God’s work and the church, praying and interceding for others. Carmella was a young woman who had devoted her life to Christ and serving others. She spent her adult years working in areas that would provide a service to the people in her community. In Chicago she worked as a teacher assistant, helping children with autism. Upon moving to Florida, she was able to work at the Christian Sharing Center as a case manager and the HOPE Helps Center as a social work case manager. In this capacity her co-workers raved about the inspiration she brought literally touching hundreds of lives on a weekly basis. Carmella was loved by all who came in contact with her. Her presence was larger than life. Family and church gatherings were always full of fun and laughter whenever Carmella was present. Carmella passed on September 28, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Jamie Hargrove, children, Deja & Deion Craig, mother, Pastor Lovie Nichols, two sisters, Eugenia Denise Chambers (Glenn), Brenda Nichols-Taylor, one brother Eugene Nichols, Jr (Darlene) & a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends.
