Obituary of Cynthia E. Porter
Cynthia “Cindy” Elizabeth Porter went to be with her Lord and Savoir unexpectedly on Friday, June 14th, 2019. Cindy is survived by her loving mother, Jeanie Sharpling; her beloved husband and best friend of 38 years, Gary S Porter; Brother, Bill Sharpling (Darlene); Sister, Wanda Sharpling (Randy); Brothers in law, Robert Porter, Bruce Porter (Karen), and William Allen Porter; Niece, Kristin Sharpling (Addison); Nephews, William Warf and Andrew Sharpling (Chelsea, Laila, and Creed); loyal dog Peanut, and numerous loving family and friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her father William D. Sharpling. Cindy was born November, 23 1957 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School Class of 1976 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 1982. She was also a graduate of Victory Christian Center Bible College. Cindy married the love of her life in 1981 and later relocated to Florida where she remained a long-time resident. Cindy was a devout Christian. She demonstrated Gods love by loving God completely and others compassionately. Cindy served others as Jesus Christ selflessly served us. She was a member of Calvary Chapel of Melbourne and dedicated her life to serving and loving Jesus Christ. Cindy’s smile and laughter were contagious. She would brighten any room. Cindy enjoyed singing in the Living Christmas Tree and church choirs for many years. Cindy devoted much time to bible studies. She enjoyed planning and hosting many dinner parties and vacations to different destinations for her family and friends. Disney, cruises, camping trips, and a special trip to Israel were some of her favorites. Cindy was adored and loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her giving, loving, and kind heart, always celebrating others and encouraging good times for all. Cindy brightened the lives of all who knew her. Cindy’s celebration of life will be held Friday, 21st of June at Fountainhead Funeral Home. Receiving of family and friends will begin at 10 am and service to follow at 11 am. Romans 8:38-39 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD
