Jack Roy Phillips

Jack Roy Phillips, 88, of Parkersburg, passed away May 8, 2019 at Milestone Senior Living. Jack was born January 10, 1931 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Harold Roy and Mae Louise {Kidder} Phillips. Jack was a chemical operator at Dupont and retired after 42 years. He liked to fish and was an avid trap shooter for which he won many awards. Jack loved sports especially the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He also coached Tri-C baseball. Jack will be deeply missed by his son; Kevin (Aimee) Phillips of Parkersburg, daughter; Kristyn Phillips of Columbus, OH, grandchildren; Kevin (Frances) Phillips, Cassie Snyder, Taylor Phillips, Connor (Hannah) Phillips, Jacqueline Smith, Guy Smith Jr., Andrea Phillips, fifteen great grandchildren and sister; Janet LaRue. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, first wife; Jacqueline Sue Frye, second wife; Nellie Mae and grandson; Adam S. Phillips. Sunset Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with Cremation Services. A Memorial Service to honor Jack’s life will be announced at a later date.
