George Samuel Kimbler

Mr. George S. Kimbler, 93, of Peachtree City, passed away September 4, 2019. He was born in Portsmouth, OH on July 7, 1926 to the late Leonard and Eva Kimbler. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. George married Shirley Zink in 1962 and they moved to Peachtree City in 1973 with a career as systems analyst at NCR where he retired in 1991. He enjoyed working in his yard, sunbathing, taking trips, and watching Braves baseball. George was a loving father, grandfather, and enjoyed his 16 great grandchildren. George was full of wisdom, generosity, and selflessness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley. Survived by his son, Timothy Kimbler, Sr; grandchildren, Victoria Broccoli, Timothy Kimbler, Jr., Jeremy Bickford, Michelle Roush, Bradley Bickford, and Sarah O’Bryan; great grandchildren, Cole Slayton, Madalyn Slayton, Brooklynn Easterwood, Jackson Bickford, Nicholas Ercole, Dalton Spivey, Sophia Broccoli, Jasper Bickford, Lexie Couch, Carter Campese, Giovanni Broccoli, Justice Couch, Bradley Bickford, Jr., Jack Bickford and Lillian O'Bryan; sisters, Vena Mae Drennen and Mary Ann Landrum.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City with inurnment to follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens with military honors. A gathering for family and friends will be at George’s home following services.
