June Elizabeth (Blair) Whitfield

Whitfield (Blair), June Elizabeth - of Peterborough, peacefully at the Kensington Hospice in Toronto on May 9, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. Born June 12, 1937, loving wife of the late William (Bill) George Whitfield. Daughter of the late Keith and Loretta (Ansty) Blair, sister to the late John Blair. June enjoyed painting landscapes in younger days and will be remembered with love and affection by her daughter Tracy Whitfield (wife Kate Wren, co-parent Adam Webster), step-son Troy Whitfield (wife Francesca Massi), her grandchildren Luca and Ella, sister Kim Blair (partner Ferdinand Sobernig), sister-in-law Carolyn (Whitfield) Wilson (late husband Kelly) and her family along with many other relatives and friends. Visiting will be held at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 18 and from 10:00 -11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, with a funeral service to be held afterward at 12 noon, officiated by the Reverend Mark St. Pierre. Interment at Little Lake Cemetery to follow. Donations to the Kensington Hospice can be made online and would be appreciated by the family.
