OBITUARY
James William Houston
July 17, 1964 – September 2, 2019
On September 2, 2019 at the Jewish General Hospital, with his wife at his side, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of James Houston. He is predeceased by his parents Victor and Claire. He leaves to mourn his loving wife and soulmate of 29 years Martine.
James will be sorely missed by his siblings, Sharon (Dave), Cheryl (John), Deborah (Steve), Steve (Barbara Ann) and Frank. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law, as well as many relatives and friends. His absence will be felt amongst his colleagues at Bob Birnie Arena where he worked as a Zamboni driver for the city of Pointe-Claire. Jim was an animal and nature lover who would enjoy fishing and golfing whenever he had the chance.
His absence will be felt as a void since he was a pillar of strength to those close to him. Natasha, his godchild, will always keep him in her heart as Jim was her guiding light and invincible in her eyes.
The family wishes to express their utmost gratitude to Maria and her team at the ICU department for the constant support and care provided to him.
Visitation will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 autoroute 20, Pointe-Claire, QC on Friday, September 13th, from 2-5 pm, 7-9 pm and Saturday, September 14th from 9:30-10:50. The funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Funeral Home on September 14th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to the SPCA of Montreal.
