Anton Peter Zimmerman

Anton Peter Zimmerman died in his sleep on July 4, 2018. Tony was born on the small family farm near Zehner, Saskatchewan. He was the second son of Jacob and Magdelena Zimmerman. He grew up doing chores and helping with the family’s mixed farm. Tony attended Braemar School and completed grade ten. He worked at a number of small jobs before finding employment with an optical company in Regina and working there for eighteen years. Tony is survived by his sisters Emilia Gerein (Albert) and Theresa Fuchs (Edwin), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tony is predeceased by his mother Magdelena Zimmerman (Schatz) and father Jacob; brothers Joseph, Bernard and sister Loretta Dormuth. Tony loved antique cars and he enjoyed dancing. He was generous towards his church and other charitable organizations. Tony was an active member of the Little Flower Men’s Club.
