Maximo Romo Martinez, born on March 23, 1925 Bergs Mill, San Antonio, TX was called to be with the Lord on October 8, 2019 at the age of 94. He served in the U. S. Army from 1943 to 1946 during World War II in the Mariana Islands in the South Pacific under General Mc Arthur. He was a Civil Service General Foreman for 35 years at Kelly Air Force Base. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 4815 and member of D.A.V. He enjoyed family gatherings, spanish music and movies. He was a loving and caring father who always enjoyed his children and grandchildren. We shall love and miss him forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maximo Gonzaba Martinez and Estanislada Romo Martinez; son, Hector O. Martinez; siblings, Marcial and Antonio Martinez. He is survived by her children, Olga Sidusky (John), Irma Uribe (Manuel), Victor Martinez (Elsie), Gerard Martinez (Norma), Sylvia Nino (Chico), Robert Martinez (Gloria) and John Martinez (Amanda); 15 grand children, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joseph (So. San) Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Highway, San Antonio, TX Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
