Obituary of Robert Musleve
After a year-long illness, Robert Musleve passed away early Monday morning, June 3rd, at his home in Lake Mary, Florida. He was 93 years old and was happy to celebrate his birthday in April. He moved to Lake Mary from Akron, Ohio after he retired from the United States Post Office in 1981. His survivors are proud of his service in WWII as a Sargent in the South Pacific Phillipines and then the occupation of Japan. He was born and worked in Akron, Ohio ... the youngest of 11 children to Sam and Alice Musleve, who immigrated here from Galicia, Austria around 1902. Robert graduated from East High School in Akron. Robert was married to Marion Louise Blumenstine Musleve, who passed away in 1983. He remained a widower until he died. He is survived by his two children, Claudia M. Collier of Pooler, Georgia and Scott A. Musleve of Akron, Ohio. He also leaves two grand-daughters, Anna M. Slaght and Holly M. Johnston, along with one great-grandchild. While living at The Forest in Lake Mary he led many, many social outings and events such as parties, charity events, local theater support, and last but not least line dancing. He taught line dancing at The Forest as well as Lake Mary Senior Center for many years. Since his ashes will immediately be shipped to Akron to be interred alongside his wife, a local memorial will be held at The Forest on Sunday, July 7th at 1:00pm . All of his friends are invited, and his friends in Lake Mary will remember him as an important part of their community.
