Frank Cvek

Frank Cvek, born April 15, 1929, in Slovenia, passed away peacefully at sunset on December 21, 2018. It is with grateful remembrance that he is survived by loving wife Thelma, his six children: Marija, Franc (Bojana), Silva, Valentin, Kenneth, and Jennifer, sisters Jošica and Kristina, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law Ted and Bob, sisters-in-law Irene and Linda, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends around the world. He was predeceased by his parents, Marija and Franc, sisters Ana and Mara, brothers Rajko and Stane, brothers-in-law Ivan, Henri, Ken, Pat, Charlie, Ed, and Willie, sisters-in-law Colleen, Gwen, Rose, Rosa and Doreen, son-in-law Janez, daughter-in-law Helena, and other siblings whose names are lost to history. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we his family ask that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or Zveza Slovenskih Društev Za Boj Proti Raku. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Frank’s life will be held at Acadia McKague’s Funeral Centre, 915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon on Saturday April 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.
