Henry Joseph Chartrand

CHARTRAND, Henry Joseph - It is with saddened hearts and great sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved father Henry Chartrand on Friday, May 3rd 2019. He is now reunited with his dear wife and best friend with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Cherished father of Doreen Nisbett (John), Rick Chartrand (Irene), Suzanne Chartrand and Paul Chartrand (Karen). He leaves behind his grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Henry and his wife Loretta had a special place in their hearts for community service in particular the Sault Ste. Marie Soup kitchen. He was a proud recipient of the Humanitarian Award in 1990 and received the Ontario Medal of Citizenship in 1988. He was active in his parish as deacon at Our Lady of the Highways Catholic Church. Above all our father will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family. Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E., 705-759-2522) on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral mass to take place at Our Lady Of the Highways Catholic Church on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. Rev. Veselko Kvesic officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
