Lasater, Mildred V., 90, of Wichita, Kansas (formerly of Sikeston, MO) passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2019 in Wichita. Mildred was born the daughter of Green and Ethel Vaughan on December 18, 1928 near McMullin, Missouri. Mildred and Fred Lasater were united in marriage on December 11, 1955 in Sikeston, Missouri. Mildred enjoyed researching family genealogy, traveling all 50 states, collecting paperweights and painting. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the First Baptist Church of Sikeston. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Cecil and Robert Vaughan, sisters; Hazel Vaughan, Rubye Barnes, Amanda Prescott and Marie Fikuart. Survivors include her loving husband, Fred Lasater, son; Allen (Judy) Lasater, sister; Virginia Forbis, granddaughters; Marta Lasater, Malinda (Emily) Lasater. Celebration of life services will be at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel on July 6th at 10am in Sikeston, Missouri. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Bootheel Clubhouse located at 1218 N. Ingram. A private inurnment will be held at the Garden of Memories in Sikeston, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the DAR at www.dar.org/donatenow.
