Phyllis Marie Davis

Phyllis M. Davis, 84, of South Dennis, MA, died peacefully at home on June 8, 2019 from lung cancer. Phyllis, born in Roslindale MA, moved to the Cape forty years ago where she was a long-time employee of IFAW. After retirement, she enjoyed reading, spending time with family and volunteering at the Dennis Memorial Library, Dennis Senior Center and the Our Lady of the Cape Thrift Store. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Davis and sister of the late Frances Lore. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wierzbicki and her husband Michael of Fort Mill, SC; sons Paul Davis of Watertown, MA, and Glen Davis and his husband David Aghassi of Boston, MA; niece Donna Lore of Dover, NH and grandson Michael Wierzbicki of Fort Mill, SC. In addition to her family, she leaves many friends whom she considered family. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, June 11, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 12, 11 a.m. at the Our Lady of the Cape Church, 482 Stony Brook Road, Brewster. The burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Dennis. Memorial donations may be made to the Dennis Memorial Library,1020 Old Bass River Road, Dennis, MA 02638. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to her friends and neighbors for all their support and to her Visiting Angels and VNA caregivers for their compassionate care.
