Bessie "Della" Adella Smith

SMITH, Bessie Adella (née Toop) December 9, 1926 - April 28, 2019 Della passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Peace Arch Hospice. Left to remember her beautiful smile are her loving husband of 68 years, Ossie; sons Doug (Anita) and Rob, and daughter-in-law Sally; grandchildren: Nigel, Cassie (Joey), Hilary, Meghan and James; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be most remembered for her love of family, her wonderful cooking and baking, her love of animals especially her grand-dogs Daisy and Fergus, and her kind hospitality to all who crossed her path. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Peace Arch Hospital and Hospice for the exceptional care of Della during her final days. A funeral service will take place at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 12953 - 20 Avenue, Surrey, BC on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peace Arch Hospice Society and/or the BC SPCA in Della's memory would be appreciated.
