James Ogston Duff Dickson

After an illness fought gallantly and with dignity, James passed away in the early morning of Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Cottage Hospice, Vancouver, at the age of 88 years. Jim leaves behind his loving family; his wife of 68 years, Dorothy (Dolly), their children; Keith (Marion), Derek (Janis) & Lynn (Derek) Peterson; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sadly Jim & Dolly lost their loving son Colin in January, 2016. Jim was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. The family would like to thank the Nurses at Evergreen Home Health in Vancouver and Nurses and staff at Cottage Hospice for the kindness and care given to Jim in his last days. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Reception will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 am. First Memorial-Fraser Heights Chapel, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, B. C. with Pastor Layton Chmelyk officiating. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. “We laughed until we had to cry, we loved right down to our last goodbye, he was the best.”
