Richard John Utendale

Richard died unexpectedly at his home in Vancouver. Richard is survived by his son Joshua and daughter Jordan, his mother Maryan "Mickey", brother Robert (Lewis) and his children's mother Pattie. Richard is predeceased by his father John. Richard was born in Edmonton AB., and was raised in Bellingham WA. where he graduated from Sehome HS in 1979. Richard attended WSU pursuing an interest in journalism. Richard worked passionately for many agencies in Vancouver as an advocate for people with drug addiction. His work included attending a world seminar in Barcelona to address this issue. In memory of Richard please support someone with a substance abuse problem. A service and reception will be held at 1pm on Oct. 26 at Victory Memorial Park, Surrey BC
