John Ioannis Balantes

Balantes, John born May 28, 1928 in Amigdali, Greece and passed away peacefully in Vancouver surrounded by family. He touched the hearts of many with his courage, humor and family values. He is survived by his wife Efthymia. He had two children Tony and Eva (Bill). Grandchildren Vanessa, Joanna, Dio, Matt, Sophie and John. Also missed by his great grandchildren Amy, Andrew and Leonidas. Two sisters Tasia and Maria as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered and in our hearts forever. A funeral service be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church, 4641 Boundary Rd. Vancouver. Father Timoleon Prattas officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby.
