Marija Arbanas

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marija Arbanas on June 20, 2018 at St. Michael's Hospice. Marija was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia (Yugoslavia). She immigrated to Eastern Canada to seek a new life. Later on she settled in Burnaby, B.C. where she lived for the past 45 years with her beloved husband Nikola. Marija loved flowers, chats with friends, spending time at the Slovenian Hall, baking and watching TV shows like ‘Wrestling’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Nikola Arbanas, step daughter Marianne Arbanas, Stephen and Paula Joo, Royal Columbian Dialysis Staff and fellow patients and many of her close friends. A service will be held for her on Friday June 29, 2018 at 11am at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC.
