Branko Zakula

Our beloved Branko passed away on November 28, 2018 at the age of 83. Branko was born in Drenov Klanac - Brlog, in the former Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Branko was the son of Uros and Sofija(nee Diklic) Zakula, He was one of 8 brothers and one sister, Stevo(Millie), Mirko(Sava), Rade(Jelena), Gojko(Bosa), Simo(Magdalena), Sreto(Velinka), Slobodan(Zora), and Mika(Djuro Aleksic). He moved to Windsor, Canada where he married Djurdja(nee Bratic) and was blessed with 3 sons. In recent years, with diminished health, he was encircled and lovingly cared for by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law and 4 beautiful grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, his sons Sreten(Nela) and Uros(Dragica), and his grandchildren Danilo, Eva, Marko and Viktor. Branko is now with loved ones in heaven, and embraces his eldest son Predrag who was lifted up into God’s arms at the tender age of 4. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. H. Fortuna and all the other doctors and compassionate nurses who been there supporting him over the years. Visitation to be held at ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE 895 Ouellette Ave. (519-254-3223) on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Branko will then rest at St. Dimitrije Serbian Orthodox Church – 2690 Seminole St., on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. to the time of the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Very Rev.
