Mr. Ernest Andrew Robert LaBute

Passed away peacefully on July 10, 2019 at the age of 83 surrounded by family. Dear husband of Josette. Predeceased by wife Shirley (1990). Cherished father of Ernest (Karen) LaButte, and Kelley Lauzon (Late Mike). Guided in the upbringing of Steven Carter (Katie), Joshua Carter (Nicole) and Katie Kolody (Matthew). Adored grandpa of Ashley, Courtney, and Avery. Brother to Irene Roy (Andy) and predeceased by Isabelle, Paul, Leo, Antoinette, and Jeanette. Loving Pa to Evelyn Burton. He will be greatly missed by Josette’s children and grandchildren especially Shyla, Delilah, and London, and many dear family and friends. He will also be missed by his faithful canine companion Macy. Ernie left a legacy of love, joy, hope and laughter. He truly was a beacon of light for God. Visitation will be held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre 1969 Wyandotte St. E. (519-252-5711) on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 6pm – 9pm. Visitation will continue on Monday July 15, from 10am until the time of service in the Chapel at 11am. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In celebration of Ernie’s life and bright personality please wear bright colours to the funeral and Visitation.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Hospice of Windsor- Essex, Transition to betterness, and the Salvation Army.
