John Frederick Ure

Passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 3, 2019 at the age of 87. Loving father of Barb (Ray) Drouillard and Patti Faulkner. Cherished Papa of Andrew and Chris (Amanda) Drouillard, Kimberley and Emily Faulkner. Dear brother-in-law of Joyce Erends. Predeceased by wife Peggy (1999), and brother Wally (2012). John was retired from MAI and IBM after servicing computers in the Windsor and London area for many years. He devoted much of his time to serving in various capacities at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Windsor and volunteered regularly at the downtown Reading Room. He will be dearly missed by his church community. John loved meeting new people and his sweet and humble nature endeared him to many, including his treasured kitty cats. In kindness, memorial donations to First Church of Christ, Scientist, Windsor or the Windsor Essex County Humane Society would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held at a future date.
