Passed away peacefully at Huron Lodge on May 30, 2019.

Louise is survived by her loving husband, Saunders, of 72 years. Loving and caring mother of Myles (Sharon), Carolyn (Carl), Blake (Evelyn) and Colin (Debbie). Louise has been the proud and loving grandma of Angela (Steve), Derek, Sharon (Brendan), Darren, Steven (Monikie), Paul (Marci), Cheryl (Ben), Matthew (Mary), Amy (Rich) and Phillip. Great-Grandma to Anyshia, Alden, Layla Louise (2005-2013), Grason, Grant, Keesha, Rhayne, Ireland, Devon, Max, Reese, Mackenzie and Junior.

Louise was raised in New Brunswick and was baptized in the Miramichi River in Doaktown, N.B. She lived over 40 years in the Ottawa/Gatineau area before moving to Windsor later in life. Louise and Saunders shared many enjoyable years at their cottage in Quebec and winters in Louisiana as well as other travel. Louise will be remembered for her involvement as a Sunday School teacher and her delicious scallop potato casseroles at church dinners and church builds. Louise and Saunders shared decades of fellowship with church families where they lived and visited. A memory for her family and friends will be of Mum’s one of a kind, tasty molasses cookies. Louise enjoyed fishing, camping, snowshoeing and hiking. Love from all of us. We will miss you Mum.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Huron Lodge who provided amazing care and support to Mum and family during the past 2 years.

Just wanted to send my condolences to Saunders and the whole family. I will forever be thankful to God for the way both Louise and Saunders loved me and my family and set such a good example of Christ's love for me as a young mom. They both encouraged me in my faith walk and were there for us so often. Love you guys. God keep and comfort you Saunders!

Sanders, Our very esteemed friend and Kingdom brother,

Thank you for including us among your friends and families. Loretta and I feel so blessed that in the sovereignty of our great and loving God, we were led to meet and minister together spreading the Gospel of Jesus in the Outaouais. I'll never forget that sunday morning, when you announced to me in private that the time had come to let the French church develop on its own. Like a good parent, you made sure the daughter church would grow strong and healthy. God honored the way the mother church acted. He multiplied your faith by five. Your God and our God will not forget your labor and sacrifice of love.
Loretta is now 87 since last wedesday. I'll be 90 on September 12. Soon we will cease counting the years. Thank God for the promise of eternel life in the presence of JESUS!! See you at His feet!!

Dear Myles, my deepest condolences to you and your family, for your loss. I met your family in the 60's when I lived in Chelsea. She was the best cook! Very fond memories of that time.

Saunders: So sorry to hear of your loss. My family and I offer our sincerest condolences to you and the entire Giberson family. The collection of family photos included in the obituary are a treasure indeed and are to be cherished. I have a couple of fond memories of my own from my visits with Myles; my first introduction to you and Louise one Saturday morning when I helped Myles move his motorcycle out of the basement in your Gatineau home. All up hill, it was. Wow. No wonder we both wound up with hernias later in life. And most prominent and warmest in my mind, my mother and I attending a wonderful family dinner at Myles home in Nepean and Louise introducing us to fiddleheads. Loved them then and now. May your many fond and loving memories and those of all family members help you all through this difficult period. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with.

Dear Mr Giberson and family,
It is with great sadness that we received the news of Mrs Giberson's promotion into Glory. We keep fond memories of great moments at Lac Lachaine or visits to your apartment. Her warm hospitality was greatly appreciated. The Church family in Hull benefited greatly from her servant heart and kind spirit for many years. We pray that the God of all comfort, comforts you in your bereavement . Knowing that she is with the Lord brings us joy and hope. We are so thankful to have known her and are sorry that we cannot be with you . Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time . A gift to the Alzheimer Society will be sent.
On behalf of the brothers and sisters of the Hull Church (Église du Plateau)

Dear Saunders and the Giberson family, we have fond memories of your wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and Saunders were always very gracious towards us during their time at Parkdale Baptist Church in Ottawa, and especially towards our daughter Chantal as she headed off to Africa as a missionary. We were blessed to have known them both. May you have a joyous celebration of her life and home-going!

Eternally grateful for the short amount of time Grandma was in my life. She had the same sweet nature as our precious Layla Louise Giberson. May you both rest in peace, keep each other company and watch over us.
