William A Thorburn

Passed away on July 1, 2019 at the age of 90. Beloved Husband of Carol Ann Thorburn (nee Petch). Loving father of William Robin Thorburn (Clare), Scott Allen Thorburn and Jill Elizabeth Waldo, all of Alberta. Dear grandfather to Graeme Thorburn (Samantha), Colin Thorburn (Megan), James Waldo (Bailey)and Jordan Waldo. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren, siblings: Robert Thorburn, Betty Couvillion, David Thorburn, Peggy Guilbault, Thomas Thorburn and many nieces and nephews. William served with the R.C.A.F. for 25 years, working on Canada’s nuclear missile and fighter jet bases and ended his career with the Province of Alberta assisting in planning Provincial roadways. Bill had a love for his family, the outdoors, nature and photography. Cremation has taken place. A visitation with all who knew Bill will be held at Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte St. E. (519-252-5711) on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. under the auspices of the W.V.M.S.C.
