Barbara Lynn Boyd

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Lynn Boyd (Priestley) born April 25, 1958 to the late Norman and Stephanie Priestley. She passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at the age of 60 in her home in Winnipeg, MB. Barbara will be survived by her children Stevan and Kate-Lynn. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Katherine, James and Allyson. Barbara was predeceased by her sister Donna. Barbara, known by many as Barb or Barbie, was born in Winnipeg, moving to Thompson, MB as a young girl with her parents and siblings. She went on to complete her nursing studies in Winnipeg, MB, moving to Dawson Creek, BC as a new nurse. Meeting her husband there, Barb moved to Nanaimo, BC as a new wife to, now deceased, Dale Boyd, and became a mother to her son, and later her daughter. Barb returned to Winnipeg during the summer of 2001, raising her children as a single mother. The celebration of Barb's life, as a mother, a nurse of 40 years, a sister, an aunt, a friend and as a brave, strong, selfless and caring woman, will be held at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Highway Winnipeg, MB, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. We wish to see all who may attend to share stories and memories of our Mom.
